By integrating multisectoral approaches, spanning health, nutrition, social protection, and local governance, the project aims to address critical underlying implementation bottlenecks that impede household investments in nutrition and generate substantial long-term economic and human capital gains. Through performance-based financing, robust monitoring system and targeted capacity building, CONNECT seeks to improve coverage, equity, and quality of nutrition services, ultimately reducing the economic costs of malnutrition and contributing to poverty reduction.https://projects.worldbank.org/en/projects-operations/project-detail/P51320602026-09-30 05:11:42

The project will support commercially viable circular agribusiness models in selected food and non-food value chains — including fruit, vegetables, medicinal herbs, fisheries, and rural tourism — through performance-based grants to agribusiness enterprises and aggregators. It will also strengthen the enabling environment for circular rural economy investments by financing institutional and governance systems, GHG monitoring, circular economy standards, and shared public infrastructure such as waste management and renewable energy systems. The project aims to create rural jobs, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and contribute to sustainable rural development, while generating replicable lessons for national scale-up through the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs.https://projects.worldbank.org/en/projects-operations/project-detail/P51826502026-09-30 05:11:42

Plan 2 will reduce flooding in the lower Chao Phraya basin by creating 800 cubic meters per second (cms) of additional flood routing capacity. It consists of two parts: (a) Expanding the capacity of the existing Chainat-Pasak canal (total length of 132 km) from 130 cms to 930 cms; and (b) Construction of a new diversion canal (total length of 136 km and design capacity of 600 cms) from the Pasak River to the Gulf of Thailand. The total cost of Plan 2 program is US$4.3 billion, and it will be financed jointly by the Govt of Thailand and a consortium of development partners led by the World Bank. The Plan 2 program will be implemented in two phases, and the first phase will have the following components: Component 1: Climate-resilient flood management infrastructure (total cost US$1,050 million, IBRD financing US$578 million). This Component will finance physical works, associated control structures and systems, and other activities for increasing the flood drainage capacity in thhttps://projects.worldbank.org/en/projects-operations/project-detail/P51063102026-09-30 05:11:42

Smallholder farmers, agribusinesses, and rural entrepreneurs are constrained by fragmented value chains, weak post-harvest and cold-chain infrastructure, limited access to finance, and an underdeveloped enabling environment. The Project development objective (PDO) is to increase the productivity and market integration of selected agricultural value chains in Mauritania, with a focus on smallholder farmers, women, and youth, and to mobilize private investment in agribusiness. To increase productivity and market integration, the Project targets two priority value chains notably horticulture and fodder with complementary support to livestock, dairy, and aquaculture. Investments in climate-smart production practices and producer organization address productivity constraints; investments in post-harvest and cold-chain infrastructure and integrated aquaculture systems address quality and loss reduction; and strengthened linkages to the Tiguint agri-food platform, the [Systeme de Veille du Marche/Market Surveillance System: SVM], and urban ahttps://projects.worldbank.org/en/projects-operations/project-detail/P51895402026-09-30 05:11:42

Years of underinvestment have created acute skills shortages across rail operations, track maintenance, signaling, and logistics management. To address this, the phase will establish a Logistics Centre of Excellence, modernizing training through simulation-based learning, digital operations labs, and modular curricula. Programs will be developed with universities, TVET institutions, and employers, combining pre-service training with apprenticeships and structured work-based learning. Targeted outreach will attract women and youth, while upskilling and reskilling programs will support workers adapting to automation, open-access operations, and new business models. In parallel, the phase will operationalize the Transport Economic Regulator (TER), developing open-access tariff frameworks, network access rules, and dispute resolution procedures, while strengthening the Department of Transport's capacity to oversee a competitive, privately-participated sector. The phase also supports transforming Transnet Engineering into a Rolling Stock Leasing https://projects.worldbank.org/en/projects-operations/project-detail/P51712302026-09-30 05:11:42

Despite the Philippines’ strong economic growth, SMEs—which are vital for employment and economic dynamism—struggle with limited productivity, low participation in export markets, and barriers to integrating into global and domestic value chains. These challenges stem from gaps in business and technical skills, difficulties in obtaining quality certifications, insufficient market intelligence and connections, and restricted access to long-term finance. The project recognizes that supporting SMEs to overcome these obstacles is essential for job creation, export growth, and inclusive prosperity. The main objective of the project is to promote the competitiveness of participating SMEs by facilitating capability upgrading and enhancing their access to market connections. Specifically, the project aims to help SMEs export and integrate into value chains through a combination of investment finance, quality certification, and digital platforms. By doing so, it seeks to empower SMEs to become reliable suppliers and exporters, therehttps://projects.worldbank.org/en/projects-operations/project-detail/P50782702026-09-30 05:11:42
